Safety & Crisis Resources

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number now. Carpe Diem Fitness is a training app — it cannot provide emergency, medical, or mental-health care.

How we keep the AI coach safe

Every AI feature in this app runs under fixed safety rules that outrank anything you or the app asks it to do. The coach will not:

  • Recommend training, loads, or progressions likely to cause injury.
  • Tell you to push through pain, dizziness, chest pain, numbness, or faintness.
  • Suggest starvation, purging, extreme restriction, dehydration, or weight-cutting protocols.
  • Recommend steroids, SARMs, unapproved peptides, diuretics, or prescription-only drugs or dosing.
  • Diagnose conditions or tell you to change prescribed treatment.
  • Provide anything intended to hurt you or another person.

When you describe pain, injury, pregnancy or postpartum status, or a medical condition, the coach chooses the more conservative option, offers a safer alternative, and points you to a qualified clinician.

Automatic crisis handling

If a message suggests self-harm, harm to someone else, disordered eating, or a possible medical emergency, we stop coaching before the message ever reaches the AI and show the resources on this page instead. Nothing you write is judged, and you can always come back to training afterwards.

Stop and seek help if…

You feel chest pain or pressure, shortness of breath out of proportion to effort, dizziness or fainting, numbness, slurred speech, or sharp joint pain. Stop the session immediately and get medical attention.
